About UsDorset Food and Health Trust is a company limited by guarantee and a registered charity. The Trust was established in May 2003 and was set up to promote healthy lifestyles through health eating, in a direct response to the growing levels of obesity, within both children and adults.
Dorset Food and Health Trust exists to promote healthy lifestyles through healthy eating. We aim to:-
- Support practical initiatives in Dorset which promote an understanding of food and health
issues.
- Promote healthy eating to children and their parents.
- Promote healthy eating to people on low incomes.
- Promote healthy eating to older people.
- Promote healthy eating to high risk groups (Diabetes and CHD)
The Trust is fortunate to receive support for some of its core costs from the Community Foundation. We are very grateful for their on-going support which enables the Trust to run healthy eating initiatives within local communities throughout Dorset.
