Volunteering Opportunities

Unfortunately we have no volunteering vacancies at the present time, but please check back later - this page will be updated if the situation changes.

As a volunteer you would be assisting the Project Workers to deliver the various workshops and activities that we offer. Depending on current funding this might be anything from helping children to dig vegetable gardens and plant seeds, to helping out at a cookery workshop for elderly or learning disabled people.

You would not be expected to work alone; travel expenses and childcare costs will be met by the Trust and you will be offered any necessary training and support including:-
  • Food Hygiene Courses
  • First Aid Courses
  • Other related training programmes applicable to your volunteering tasks
  • Training and guidance in food related topics such as:
    • Local Food
    • Healthy Eating
    • Good Kitchen Practice
    • Fruit and Vegetable Gardening
    • Cooking for Children
If you are interested and would like to find out more, please contact us or complete our volunteer application form and send it to us at the address indicated. We will then arrange for you to come along and meet the team!

N.B. Because many of our workshops and activities involve working with children and/or vulnerable adults, all volunteer appointments are subject to a satisfactory disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau. There will be no cost to volunteers for this process.
